Thailand …Koh Phi Phi Finally !

For you all, not leaving in Singapore or in the region, if I tell you  “Koh PhiPhi”, maybe it doesn't ring any bell … Personally, before coming to Singapore I had like NEVER heard of it …(well, I used to mismatch Singapore and HK as well, so it gives you a good idea of my level in geography !)

 

But … if I talk to you about The Beach … you might think of …

Well, girls you must probably think of that …

And then, just like me, you probably thanks God for the amazing work he has done over the past few years, to give us that ….

And you guys … well you are more likely to think of that I guess ….

But you have to know that we do think of her as well, and we hate her so much to had the chance to kiss both Guillaume Canet AND Leonardo Di Caprio in the same movie … Ohhhhh , unfair !

All right, but sorry, when we leave in Singapore and think of that famous beach, we think about Koh Phi Phi and we even call her by her sweet name : Maya Beach … and to be honest we also think “Shall we go for the week end !”

That is what I did with my mom who came visit me in Singapore ! First Koh Phi Phi , where everyone is beautiful, everyone is young, there is only girls with atomic bodies and hot guys brochettes with one, two , three…. yop yes 6 packs ! But not only ! Eventually there is also quite nice beaches and quite nice view points and well, quite a few quite nice things ! Take a look at the pictures below and please …don’t judge I KNOW, it looks like I shot them in the 60’s, I don't know what happened to my camera settings ! Well, no choice, I am gonna have to go back !

FYI, and no it is NOT to break the dream, but Koh Phi Phi is one of the island devastated by The tsunami … Any way I let you imagine the wave coming into this little bay and submerge this piece of land … If you want to know more, there is plenty of videos in YouTube and also a nice book Tsunami in Paradise, by Luciano Butti, owner of a beach restaurant, the Ciao Bella …

Anyway, back to more enjoyable subjects …. you must be wondering why the hell I was talking to you about The Beach earlier on … Well,hold on a minute … first lets take a taxi boat (yes correct, you read me well, in Thailand there is Taxi Boats, but forget about the meter ok , you get ripped of every time !)

That boat bring us to a rather nice lagoon … whose  amazing crystal clear jade water is still in my mind ! Does that really exist such a blue ??? Seriously !!

Now the adventure started when the boat driver decided to drop us into the water, and to let us swim towards kind of a net, that would bring us to kind of stairs into a cliff … The thing is that my mum and I are not exactly what one could call a mermaid ! We are both extremely uncomfortable in the water ! Well me managed to did it of course, but I lost a bit of my dignity on the way ….

If I was not myself the subject of that hilarious situation, I would have had a blast recording it …

Imagine me, trying to swim with my camera in one hand, that I try to keep above the water cause I am not quite sure of the “waterproof" bag that the boat driver gave me; and trying to keep my bikini in a decent position with the other hand ! How the hell am I supposed to swim with no available arm ! No clue really, but I managed to do it anyway !

Anywayyyy, walking 2 min to cross the island and tataaammmm : Maya Beach, THE beach !

YES the SAME as Di Caprio ! And I even managed to take a few shots without 23 speed boats full of tourists in the background !Youuuuhouuuu, it’s almost a miracle !
Well … NICE KOH PHI PHI !
Only one thing, if one of you is in touch with the movie director, please let him know … the jump from the top of the hill  ???? Not credible !
